Vista - Offline files Errors

Hi,
I'm getting a whole bunch of weird behavior by vista with the Offline files
option

1. First of all, the green "Wheel" that recognize Files&Folder as Offline
disappear from time to time, why is that ?

2. I can't search the offline folders for content(Vista seems to index them
but with no appearant results, Although, using Adv. Searching works with the
Non-Indexed Location)

3. Saving files (Especially in XLS Format, even with Excel2007) on
syncronized folders fail with the error "File is not Saved", while other
files are saved OK.

Home someone here is familiar with these...

I have been researching this all day. I am unable to search my offline files.
I had this problem at work, but have now tried at home. I mapped a drive from
my vista machine to another vista machine, Made a folder offline. Now when i
use the search in the top right hand corner to give it part of the file name,
I get no results back. I have seen results on google (woops I meant live
search) that it can't index network location, but it should be able to index
offline files.

I have seen many posts on, This isn't working but no one has come back.
Help microsoft!!!

I found searching for files which are located in offline files cache, from
the start menu works fine.
It just doesn't work if you go into the folder, and use search from there.
Similar if you enable "don't use the index when searching the file system",
it works fine when searching within the folder.
