Windows XP style folders

I really like Vista. It works well for my programs. My question is this:
Is there any way to use XP style folders in Vista. I do machine embroidery
and like to be able to see what designs are in what folders without having to
open the folders to see them. I always liked the way that Windows XP
displayed the thumbnails on the front of the folders making finding certain
designs a cinch.

Any suggestions out there?

RE: Windows XP style folders

It's not exactly the same but right click the folder and select properties,
then the customize tab. Then under folder pictures, choose file. I think it
will provide what you want.

RE: Windows XP style folders

Unfortunately, that won't work because these embroidery files are in
embroidery formats (i.e. PES, HUS, VIP; not image formats (i.e. JPEG, BMP,
GIF). It used to work beautifully in XP but not in Vista. Any other ideas
would be appreciated.

RE: Windows XP style folders

i am also looking for some tool that can view the vista folders in the style
of the xp folders, like this----> http://i7.tinypic.com/4uiykh0.png

this way it's much easier to see what music album this is etc
i don't like it that they did not put this function in vista
it's not easy to see what album is in that folder

has somone a tool for vista that can display the folders like in xp?
