Vista - Opening registry .dat files from backup?

Nigel Molesworth n/a posts	Opening registry .dat files from backup? I've just re-installed Vista (a nightmare as it happens!) and have lost all my Mail Rules. I've got a back-up of the registry dat files, is there any way to open these?
