| | Link Music and Picture folders My wife and I each have an account on our PC, however we would like to share things such as Music and Pictures. I could easily setup a folder that we both could access or use the public music and public pictures folders; however many applications automatically open / search / save to the users' Music and Pictures folders. Can I link these so that if my wife downloads pictures from her camera and saves them to her Pictures folder they appear in mine and vice versa? Junctions? Some other link? A unix symbolic link seems good, but I don't know the commands or if an equivalent exists in Vista. Thanks in advance! |

| | Re: Link Music and Picture folders Windows Vista fully supports Junctions and Symbolic Links. The mklink command line utility is included in Vista to create these. Go to Start and type cmd.exe Right click on the resulting cmd.exe item and select the Run As Administrator option. In the command window, type mklink /? and press Enter. To see the options and syntax for the commands.
