Vista - Automatic organizing of my music files--how do I turn it off?

I have a brand new laptop with Vista. I download a good deal of music and
podcasts... every few hours Vista takes it upon itself to reorder my files
based on artist, etc. Not all of them, but some. This is causing huge
problems for my iTunes account and is generally driving me up the wall. How
can I turn this automatic organizing off?

Hi Heather,

This processs is called "Automatic folder type discovery for templates". This tutorial will show you how to reset the folder views and to disable this process so Vista will remember you settings as you last left them. Do all of method two.

Windows Explorer Folder View settings

This tutorial will show you how to change the folder template to what you want it to be instead of the "Music" template. Just scroll down a bit.
