| Guest | Fix for Fable: TLC? I recently got the Vista 32x OS and after updating everything to the max i tried to install my Fable game. Unfortunetly i seem to be getting an error that i have absolutely no idea who to fix: Error 1607: unable to install InstallShield Scripting Runtime Any ideas? i know there was a March 07 update that had some compatability fixes, but it was not for my 32x unfortunatly. |

| Guest | RE: Fix for Fable: TLC? I don't really know what to suggest, because I installed Fable just fine on my machine, but I'll try and help. The problem sometimes happens with .msi files, which is what the installer for Fable is, well it is on my version. Check on your cd, if it is a .msi file then I can help you install it. 1. Click Start --> All Programs --> Accessories. Right-click Command Prompt and select "Run as administrator". 2. In command prompt type in the following: "cd D:/" without quotations and press enter(assuming that your cd drive is D:, if it isn't replace D: with the letter of your drive) "msiexec /i Fable - The Lost Chapters.msi /qb" without quotations and press enter. (check the name of the executable on the cd that you have, it might be different) This should install the game. You might not get a desktop or start menu shortcut, so you might have to create them yourself. "LostNewbie" wrote:
