| | Vista x64 and Icewind Dale I'm trying to install Icewind Dale on my AMD dual-core based Vista x64 PC and not having much luck. Although the CD will auto-start, when I choose to install nothing happens. This is also the case when I double-click on setup.exe in the CD root folder. I've also tried XP-SP2 Compatibility Mode for setup.exe without success. Strangely I can auto-boot and begin the install for the Heart of Winter Expansion CD (which naturally fails because I don't have Icewind Dale installed) without issue. I'm not sure where to begin looking for a solution to this one so any suggestions are welcome. |

| | RE: Vista x64 and Icewind Dale So with a bit of persistence and some research, the answer to this one is to reboot into Safe Mode, install IWD and Heart of Winter plus the Trials of the Luremaster update/patch and then reboot back into normal mode and run. Works a treat :-) |
