FSX Acceleration crashes

Hi,

I installed FSX Acceleration, and everything was perfect, then I tried to
push the graphic a little more using the filters, than it crashes. So then I
tried to go back to bilinear only, but now after about an 1hr, the game
crash

How can I repair these settings so that the games will once again work for
longer flight than 1hr

Re: FSX Acceleration crashes

As you say that FSX crashes after an hour, I would suspect that overheating
of your graphics card may be the cause. Drop the settings and see how long
it can run for.

Re: FSX Acceleration crashes

That's the thing I'm at the lowest setting allowed in the game, and my video
card is an EVGA 8800GTS with 640Mb

Re: FSX Acceleration crashes

You might try reloading the NVIDIA drivers. Also, heat may be an issue.
You might check the fan to make sure it is running. Also, are you having
any other problems with games? You may try downloading 3DMark and
looping it to see if you have any issues (kind of like a burn in for
your video card, to test stability).

Re: FSX Acceleration crashes

I installed the latest video drivers from Nvidia about 2 days ago, I still
have the same problem, but it's only with FSX

It started after I made some change to the video filters, and since then I
tried to revert back to the basic video setting, wich every control in the
games says they are, but it seems that there are some setting that did not,
and that is why I do not think that heat is an issue

Re: FSX Acceleration crashes

You might find a better answer to your question in the avsim.net forums.
That issue may have come up before there. There is a fsx.cfg file that
holds those settings. You may delete that and restart FSX which will
recreate that file with default settings.
