ATI Radeon x1600 driver problem

Hey

I recently updated the driver for my Sapphire Radeon x1600 PRO with Catalyst
Control Center 7.10, since then any game I try to start up gets a
"...encountered an unexpected error and needs to close" message...this is the
case with Call of Duty 4, PES 2008, and Company of Heroes.

This happened once before with PES 2008, and I was able to fix it by rolling
back the driver. That no longer works.

Direct X is up to date, Windows XP has all the updates. All of the games ran
fine before the driver update and I've run a thorough virus check. CCC
recognises what card I am using and it's definatly the correct driver. Thanks
for any advice.

Al

I'd try uninstalling the drivers and going back to 7.7 they're apparently
the most stable.
