Halo-Combat Evolved

I am using current version of Vista Home Premium with a 5600+AMD-Asus MB,
3Gig Ram, GF8500 512Mb. I was able to trnsfer settings from old computer (XP)
after re-installing game on new computer. Downloaded all of the lasted
patches using Halo Update. Played from previous check point for 3 hrs.
Shutdown system when done. Dilema is this... when I booted up next day and
went to play Halo the initial screen came up, but nothing happened. Tried
again and got error stating that Halo was already running. Checked Task
Manager and sure enough, Halo was running under processes. I have tried
numerous re-installs and setting changes to my Video, but cannot get Halo to
play again. Any thoughts???

I'm having a simular problem, halo will not run on my vista but when I start
the cd it doesnt do anything at all but tell me that it cant find it, we
seriously need help here I paid $40 for this game when it came out.
