Crysis - Rescue Prophet bug

In Paradise Lost when trying to save Prophet
some aliens don't die properly (!) so it is impossible to progress.
It looks like a clipping problem where they "catch" on something instead of
disintegrating and falling to the ground.
It seems to be fairly random, but so frequent that I can't complete this
section.
Apart from continuously repeating the section until complete by chance,
(I am getting tired already) has anyone a strategy that seems to alleviate
this problem
any suggestions welcome, thanks

Crysis - Rescue Prophet bug

I did eventually get through after dozens of replays.
Only for it to happen again at the evac centre with Strickland's men.
I too have vista 64 and 8800GTX.
I got through that quicker by dropping from DX10 to DX9.
Don't know if that actually made the difference or if it was random, but
seemed to work for me.
Oh, and that was with the 64 bit exec as well
I have stuck with DX9 to be on the safe side and (touch wood) haven't had
any more problems.

Re: Crysis - Rescue Prophet bug

I have successfully found a way to make this work everytime.

Instead of shooting the monsters, you must kill them by grabbing them. Get near them and push "F". Your suit will then crush the monster's throat and you can toss it aside. When killed this way the monsters will always blow up and you will complete the level.

In my experience this bug only happens on the last 2 rounds (six monsters) of monsters. You can shoot the rest without issue.
