Vista - mouse issues

i have had this issue with several games now. well i installed guild wars tonight and of course the exact same problem.

my mouse will flash on the screen a few times and then dissappear. move it around some and it will flash again and dissappear again. i have the thing set up so i can hit ctrl button and see where it is. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't work.

has anyone else had this issue with their mouse? i have tried the mouse pad and several external mice, but all do the same thing.

just downloaded the latest version of vista and didn't help.

Have you downloaded and updated your video card drivers? You might give
that a try, that can usually fix things like that.
