Vista - Games stopped launching

Hi. I have a sony vaio with vista home premium, and lately all games won't
launch. What I mean is that I'll click on the application and the mouse
wheel will turn a little, but then nothing will happen. Sometimes the game
will be listed in the task manager under process, and sometimes it won't be.
This has only just started lately and games that used to work now don't. This
happens with cds or downloads. I've updated all the drivers, have very few
programs on my computer, so I'm frustrated as to why the games won't run. Any
help would be great, thaks!!

order. Press Start and start typing System Restore and it should show up at
the top of the search results.

It'll probably be best if you select Choose a different restore point and
see if any of the dates or entries ring any bells with when this started
happening. Any programs installed since the restore point will need to be
reinstalled.
