installing games in seperate partition

Not sure I even know exactly how to ask this, but I'll do my best. I've installed Vista Ultimate 64 (new volume c) on an additional hard drive. I want to install games on a seperate partition on this hd. I was unable to install the first game I tried (Eq2) I got the error that I need to select a valid directory. I posted on the eq2 forums and was told that I needed a fully qualifed directory. The partition is new volume e. I just had to type e:\games\eq2. That worked fine and the game installed. I have some other games to install, and I am wondering if there is some generic command I need to type in for other games. I had installed Hellgate London in e without error messages, but I noticed later that it didn't show up in my list of programs, or in the remove programs through the control panel. I had completely reinstalled Vista on the first partition (new volume c) after hellgate was installed so maybe that caused it not to show up. After I reinstalled Vista I formatted e, and started over so I just have eq2 on e now. Hope I made at least a little sense, being the amateur I am. Thanks

Oops, believe I posted this in the wrong section, my apologies
