| | Joysticks compatable with Vista I currently have a Microsoft Sidewinder joystick. When I switched to Vista I found that it no longer worked. Is there a way to fix it? If not ,what joysticks are compatable with Vista? -- larry |

| | RE: Joysticks compatable with Vista You will have to check and see if Microsoft has a driver for your joystick to use with Vista. If they don't it's not going to work. I'm using a Saitek X-52 joystick and Pro Flight Rudder Pedals here. They have support for both 32bit and 64bit Vista operating systems. But these aren't force feedback, I never really liked it on a joystick anyway. "larry" wrote: Quote: > I currently have a Microsoft Sidewinder joystick. | | Re: Joysticks compatible with Vista If your joystick uses a gameport, it wont work on Vista. There is NO gameport support in Vista. Only USB types will work. There may be some sort of gameport to USB adapter you could get. | Vista Ultimate x64 | Re: Joysticks compatable with Vista I have teh same joystick and while Vista does see the device mapping keys to it is not happening. The original software had a way to map keyboard keys to it. Vista doesn't allow you to do this. Only item is calibration. Starnge that a MS product wouldn't have the legacy driver installed? |

| | Re: Joysticks compatable with Vista I to have the same problem and feel MS should have the drivers that are compatabile. I also understand that MS was opting out of game until XBOX when money counts everything can work "jaxstraww" wrote: Quote: > > I have teh same joystick and while Vista does see the device mapping > keys to it is not happening.
