Call of duty problem

I have been playing Coduo with no problems but now I keep getting this error
message:

RE_Shutdown( 1 )
Shutting down OpenGL subsystem
....wglMakeCurrent( NULL, NULL ): success
....deleting GL context: success
....releasing DC: success
....destroying window
....resetting display
....shutting down QGL
....unloading OpenGL DLL
-----------------------
Hunk_Clear: reset the hunk ok
Your video card appears to be missing one or more features required to run
Call of Duty.

You should install the latest drivers for your video card, being sure to
uninstall the old drivers first. If you already have the latest drivers,
you should completely uninstall the drivers and then reinstall them. This
fixes most problems. If the game still doesn't work, it may be that your
video card does not have the minimum features required. Please check the
readme for more information, including a list of supported video cards.

My graphics card is a xfx 8800 gtx which I have update the drivers to 163.9.
I have uninstalled these and put the last set of drivers on but still get
the same message, also I have uninstalled the game and reinstalled and
patched it back up to V1.51 and still get the same.
I have tried different compatibility and still get nowhere.

Has anyone any ideas what has happen so I can fix it

Re: Call of duty problem

Ran into the same problem with Doom 3 and resurrection. Before change to
newer video card, desktop P/C worked with Doom 3.
A check with an Open Gl checker showed that Open GL was present and was
version 1.4. Maybe game expected 1.3?
Tests showed incomplete implementation of Open GL (Latest 12/07 released
video drivers for Nvidia card.)
