Vista Tutorial - FSX SP2 installation problem

Running Vista Home Premium with an NVidia 8800 GTX video card. Have SP1
installed but do not have Acceleration. Trying to install SP2 but it won't
install. I first tried clicking "Run", and then also tried downloading the
patch to the desktop and then running, but it simply will not install...just
cancels itself. I disabled McAfee VS before trying to install, but results
still the same. Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas how to get this
to work? I looked on this board and MS site, and so far have found no other
mentions of this problem.

I have the same exact problem. I've re-downloaded it several times, but still the same thing...it starts to install, then uninstalls in the middle...anyone?

Dido. I'm running Vista Home Premium 64bit with nVidia GTX 280. I'm reinstalling FSX Deluxe after my new Dell Computer hard drive failed and I can't remember having this problem when I first loaded on my new system. Downloaded several times but will begin but then rolls back installation and says try again basically. I even tried running the sp2 inside FSX main folder.

i have the same problem last months..but i dont know how resolve....then i formatted my computer and again installed vista then i installed FSX ,SP1,SP2 AND its installed perfectly....why did you uninstal your FSX or SP2?..i think you need format complete computer

Were you getting an error message with FSX?, or not? I can install, but I can't register or open the game.

I were getting an error message with FSX during intall...But now my FSX is running well..

What did you do to get rid of the error?
