| | all installed games Yesterday I bought my son a new CPU, and it has windows vista on it. None of his games he installed worked. They freeze up, and the graphics doesn't seem all that good. Does anyone know what I need to do, to make it work. I hate to think I spend 1400.00, and he can't play any of his games. Its not the graphics card, I made sure the cpu has everything he needs on it and more. Thanks, from a very frustrated mom. |

Contact the game mfgrs and see if they have a patch to make the games compatable in Vista. 2. See if your Comp manufacturer will let you swap Vista for XP. 3. Consider buying XP and Partitioning software and dual-boot XP and Vista. (Yes, I know; kind of expensive way to run games! Be sure XP supports your hardware before you do this!) 4 Look into VM (Virtual Machine) software to run under Vista and install XP and games there. You'd probably still need a new copy of XP, though. 5. New games? 6. Keep the new unit for yourself and buy the kid a compatable machine on Ebay. If you list the games you could well find more help here. I'm a bit surprised that NONE of them work. |
