| | the sims 2 --- issue... I installed The Sims 2 (yes, I did it as administrator), and at first, if I was logged into windows under MY account it worked fine, but then it started freezing up. But my brother can log in under HIS windows account and it works perfectly. What could I do to solve this? It doesn't make sense to me at all. I've updated drivers, tried to free up memory space...everything I could think of. -- skyline Posted via http://www.vistaheads.com |

| | RE: the sims 2 --- issue... Have you tried deleting the groups.cache file (normally in documents>>EA Games>>The Sims 2 folder)? It fixes quite a few things. | | Re: the sims 2 --- issue... You do not have to install anything as administrator unless files fail to copy during installation. Running as admin should only be done if you have trouble installing normally. Chances are something is running on your computer that's causing the game to freeze. Are there any applications that run when you log in, but not your brother? Compare the 2 account and see what's different.
