Spider and other Solitaire's

Please realize I am not an expert. I have done something that prohibits me
from playing solitaire. (Spider) I manage to get things working and play
for a awhile then when I shut down the comp. the next time I try to play it
does not deal properly and sometimes produces weird things. I fool arround
with the monitor (20 inch View Sonic) settings and then it will let me play.
I know not what I do and I know not what causes the problem. It started
when I was trying to get the printing big enough to read.
