The Witcher

Anyone have any luck running this game under Vista SP1 (refresh)?

Game is updated, I have tried the bcdedit variable but that didn't help.

SP1 prevents me from installing the KB940105 update so I can't try that.

Yes I know SP1 is beta and I probably will need to uninstall it to get the game to work,
I am just curious if anyone else is playing it under SP1 without issues.

TIA
Dave

RE: The Witcher

I managed to get the non patched version of the game running with the SP1
beta, I never tried the patch under this scenario, I have formatted and
re-installed the os and havent yet put SP1 back on, The Witcher is running
fine with the patch and the KB update, However this was without SP1. Not
tried yet with it but if i do I will let you know.

Re: The Witcher

I should be more clear, the game runs it just crashes to the desktop
randomly (seems to be during cut scenes or loading screens)

Re: The Witcher

I had the same problem. Uninstalled the SP1 RC and it works again. Hopefully this will not be a problem when SP1 is officially released.
