    Directx9

I have Vista Ultimate. From where can i see that Directx9 is installed on my PC.
The Dxdiag command mentions only D10.
And another q is if i can have D9 and D10 both without problems?

    Thank you.

for example search for file d3d9.dll . If you have such that means that you
have directx9 instaled I can be mistaken but I think that every directx
    version had older liberies included.

Yes, you can have DX9 & 10 on your machine at the same time with no issues.
You can reinstall DX9.0c from this site:
    http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

And Vista comes with DX9.0l, but if the game was made with components from
9.0c, then you may need to install that version as well. It doesn't harm
anything, it only installs the components from that version without
    rewriting any other files.

DirectX diag does not always come true...
Well, when you play lower than the highest setting it usually lower than
    DX10 and use DX9 instead...

Try go to game explorer and click on one of the game (Don't double click.)
Click on the down arrow beside the Play button and you sometime can see:
"Play as DirectX 9" or "Play as DirectX 10."
