Vista 64 with auto-updates done. FEAR was working fine but now fails to
launch. Message says something akin to "FEAR has encountered a problem and
will close."
Loaded Medal of Honor Airborne, loaded latest patch. Same thing. Tried
compatability mode to no avail. Tried disabeling firewall and antivirus. Same
thing. Shouldn't matter though because it worked before. I'm sure this is
something simple but it's kicking me at the moment. HELP community!!
Appreciation awaits.

Can't help without system specs. Update your video/audio card drivers, if
you installed software recently, use system restore to rewind your system,
see if that helps. Sometimes when you install stuff it causes other stuff to
break.

Go to the program file in MY Computer and launch from the folder itself,
shortcut seems to fade after a while.

Or you installed something onto your system that is now causing the program
to not work. Try System Restore, roll back your system a few weeks, see if
that helps.
