| | Re: I can't get my PS3 on internet because of DNS Just use the DNS address from your ISP. Sometimes, it needs to be entered in manually. -- Dustin Harper dharper@xxxxxx http://www.vistarip.com | Vista Resource & Information Page "confused" <confused@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:E33DC889-A9FD-4142-BC69-B0A3315A3E9D@xxxxxx Quote: > When i go to put everything in for the wireless internet i get up to the > IP > address when i put it in automaticly it just wont find the IP address. | | Re: I can't get my PS3 on internet because of DNS You should try the ps3 forums, but i did the old ipconfig /all in the command prompt and it provided me with all the ip and dns servers that the ps3 and router required smithy "Dustin Harper" <dharper@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:OgDnoJMfIHA.1212@xxxxxx Quote: > Just use the DNS address from your ISP. I don't know what your DNS server is, it's different for each ISP, but if you want too, you can setup an OpenDNS account and use OpenDNS (which is better than most DNSs because you can censor certain sites, and you aren't prone to ISPs who want to censor stuff they think you shouldn't see. It's actually really nice) http://www.opendns.com Once you open an account your DNS servers will be: 208.67.222.222 208.67.220.220 I think you HAVE to open an account to use it. I installed OpenDNS at my office because we can easily filter out porn sites, and other stuff that's not appropriate for work. It's really easy, and free, and really powerfull, and free. -A. |
