You may need to upgrade your sound card drivers, or get a new sound card.

According to the C-Media website your sound card drivers are dated 2002, so if you are using Vista the drivers that come with Vista is all you're going to get.

Well, if your computer is running Vista... Well you probably don't want to be. If your CPU is a Pentium Core2Duo running at 1.6Ghz, that's OK. You want at least 2 Gigabytes of RAM if you are running Vista for Bioshock. Your AGP video card is on the slow side, but it should at least run the game.

Your sound may be bad because your system is running slow. When you're playing videos your computer isn't working as hard as when you actually play the game.

Upgrade your ram to 2 Gigs, if you can afford it, get a faster video card. (ATi 2x00 HD, or nVidia 7x00 series) Make sure the card is AGP.

Don't know what else to suggest. Your audio card chipset isn't that stealer either, but I can't tell if it's the problem exactly/
