Windows Experience Index Rating

My "Graphics" and "Gaming Graphics" ratings are both 1.0. What do I need to
do to increase them?
I also get a warning message when trying to play any games that reads:
"Hardware acceleration is either disabled or not supported by your video card
driver, which could slow game performance. Make sure you have the latest
video card driver installed and that hardware acceleration is turned on."
How do I check the video card driver and where do I go to download the latest
version?

Do you know what video card you have in your computer? If this is a fresh
install of Vista it sounds like you dont yet have the drivers installed for
your video card. Drivers for NVIDIA Geforce cards can be found at
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us after selecting the
your card and operating system from the drop down boxes, ATI drivers can
likewise be found at http://ati.amd.com/support/driver.html

Re: Windows Experience Index Rating

If you are using the generic VGA driver or if the driver you installed is an
XP (XPDM) driver instead of a Windows Vista (WDDM) driver, your WEI graphics
score will always be 1.0.
