Player's name in Hearts

Hi,

My wife has just bought a laptop and has been playing the included "Hearts"
game that comes with Vista Basic.

I have set so that her name -Pat- appears as the key player in the game but
for no apparent reason sometimes she becomes 'User' and Pat is not shown on
the screen.

There is nothing I can see to cause this but advice from one of you
knowledgeable people out there would be appreciated and might keep me out of
the doghouse.

Thank you,

Aitch

Hearts uses your Windows User Name, change your user name (Start Menu >
Control Panel > User Accounts > Change my User Name), and it'll change in
Microsoft Games for Windows Vista Games.

>Andy,
Thanks for the suggestion. I have checked on her machine but Pat is
already shown as Administrator so that doesn't seem like the answer.

What is especially puzzling is that it seems to run correctly for most of
the time and just changes to User occasionally - sometimes after being turned
of.

Cheers,
H.

RE: Player's name in Hearts

when you change your account user name, cancel the user account control at
the bottom. it worked for me. after the name is changed, you can go back &
reset the user account control again if you want.
