video card, min. requirement

Hello everyone,
I posted this in Forums, Games. Now I'm posting the same question here. I hope it's not against the rule.
I have a program which can tell me which pc games I can or cannot play. It will run through my computer system and show me the list, which I pass and which I do not.
I asked about Civilization 4, and it said NO. Everything passed except the video card. Can I upgrade my video card, or will my laptop be able to handle it ? I have a Dell Inspiron 1420 laptop. Please click the screenshot link to see what video
card I'm supposed to have.

Re: video card, min. requirement

Laptops usually can't be upgraded as far as video is concerned. You will
probably have to run it on a desktop as most laptops are made for office
applications and productivity rather than gaming. Some laptops are somewhat
decent gaming machines, and are marketed as such. But, they will never be a
gaming desktop replacement.

In the future, ask for a laptop that's designed for gaming if that's what
you need. Dell XPS notebooks (any model) are a great place to start.

FYI though, this laptop will run Civilization, chances are your video
driver is messed up.

http://tinyurl.com/23f8f6 - Latest driver for your notebook video card.

Download, install, run the game.

If you need other drivers, here's the link to the driver download page for
your notebook...
