Wow

have got a new machine is a phenom quad core with x-fi sound and vista x64
every time ti try to play wow it freezes up usually with in 5 mins of
starting, is there a known issue here? or is it something a little bit more
drastic

tried repairing wow? or uninstalling and reinstalling but making sure u backup ur patchs of course.

but hey i cant even get into my wow it simple wont let me install the latest patch just completely utterly fails! and then my wow time ran out so i havent been bothered with it ne more but i hope u fix urs

The only time I've ever had WoW freeze on me is when the gfx card went pear shaped.

Check and make sure it's not over heating and that the fan is working ok, or it might go horribly wrong

Sounds like something is getting to hot and shuts down, check that your CPU
and GPU fans are working.

also for WoW to patch the launcher program must be run as an administrator
with Vista or the patch will fail.

yup ive tried that aswell and i get some file error but oh well
