Vista - Lego Island Wont Work On Vista

Has anyone been able to get this game working on Vista? Is there anyone out there who can help me?

i had a check online & could not see any compatibility issues with it....??

Every time I launch the game it says "isle has stopped working." But when I was messing around with the backwards compatible I got a little bit further. When I switched it to Windows NT 4.0 it now starts say "LEGO Island is not detecting DirectX5 or later. Please quit all other applications and try again." I did that and it's still saying it.
