Flight sim problems

Hi, I am running vista on a brand new computer which has Ge-Force8800GS card,
2 Gb DDr memory and Intel core2duo processor. My problem is with Flight sim X.
I am finding that the graphics on Vista in FSX are much worse than on my old
XP setup. I have a 17in Medion flat screen monitor and have tried every
resolution setting on it but no better. I have also downloaded service packs1
& 2 but no improvement. can anyone help please

Re: Flight sim problems

Download drivers from Welcome to NVIDIA - World Leader in Visual Computing Technologies and install them.

Also, you can adjust the ingame settings to make things look a lot better (mesh, terrain complexity, etc.). Also, with the NVIDIA settings, you can adjust Anti-Aliasing, and Anisotropic Filtering. You should be able to max those out with that card and that small monitor (relatively speaking). What resolution are you running at? 1024x768 or 1280x1024? AA should really help out at those resolutions.

Hope this helps. If you need any other help, you might also ask the extremely knowledgable crowd at avsim.com. There are a lot of tweaks for FSX that can make it look almost photo realistic!
