Halo lag

I recently installed the Vista service pack and now Halo (combat
evolved) lags no matter what network settings on the game I try. Same
with frame rate. Ping is normal. Any ideas on how to recover from my
"upgrade"? I never had any problems at all before the update.

You mean you want to uninstall the service pack? Go to control panel then
programs features, then installed updates and remove from there

Might be something else that came to light with the SP1, but what Scott
said, Programs and Features has an uninstall option for SP1, but you might
poke around Bungie.com and see if someone has a fix for the problem first.
Lots of good fixes in SP1.
