Prince of Persia The Two Thrones - BSOD sfsync02.sys

Hi,

I'm trying to install Prince of Persia The Two Thrones on my Vista Ultimate
64bit computer. Even though the installation goes well, upon reboot I get a
BSOD. The system complains that it doesn't find or can't verify the
signature for \windows\system32\drivers\sfsync02.sys. The code the system
displays is 0xc0000428.

Is the only way to install this game successfully to Disable Diver Signature
Enforcement in Vista and always pressing the F8 key when booting the system?

Thanks in advance

Ninon

Re: Prince of Persia The Two Thrones - BSOD sfsync02.sys

The file it mentions is part of the dreaded Starforce (copy protection)
program.
Only the most recent versions are compatible with Vista 64bit which is
why you're having the trouble.

You can update Starforce to the current version here

www.star-force.com/support/drivers/

Hopefully this will let you into the game (it'll stop the reboot crashes
at any rate )
