loading problems

I have just bought a new laptop with Vista installed. It seems that any game
i try and load won't be accepted. Sometimes there isn't even an error
message. Other times it says error with driver.
Will vista not let me run anything ?
I am not a computer literate person so any answers will need to be simple ,
sorry

RE: loading problems

Hi, Sorry to say this but we are not mind readers here and It would be nice
to have a little background as the issues you are experiencing. What games
are you trying to run, What make/model is the laptop?

Do you know what graphics chipset it is running as it might be beneficial to
see if there are any updates for this.

If they are are older games they may not be compatible with vista.

Try and give as much information as can including any messages that appear
on the screen no matter how insignificant they may seem as they might give us
some idea as to what is occurring.

Regards
Martin

RE: loading problems

I am not familiar with this game, however I have done a google on it and I
can see that it is not an overly older game. Has it even manage to let you
install it and it just wont run. Have you tried compatibility mode, locate
the game executable and right click and select compatibility mode you can
then try win xp mode or earlier?
