Update Windows, make sure you install the optional updates as well. Make
sure you have Vista Service Pack 1 installed. (Right-click Computer icon,
choose properties to see this info, should say Service Pack 1 somewhere
near the top)

Update your video card & sound card drivers, don't know your computer make
or model, so I can't help much here without more info

Update the game, you didn't mention any game names so I'll assume you're
playing Solitare, but there's no update for this game and you can't really
reinstall games that come with Vista.

Looked up the game online, it's not that old, it needs DirectX 9, runs
in Windows. No reason this game won't run on your system.

Update video card drivers:
The nVidia 9500M card is kindda new, and the Acer website sucks. I can't
find any driver updates. You can get universal nVidia drivers from:
http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/ they tweak nVidia drivers so one file
works on all nVidia cards.

When you install the game, open the CD on your computer, right-click on
the Setup.EXE icon and choose Run as Administrator, just in case Vista
doesn't see it as an installation program.

Once installed run the game by right-clicking on the icon and choosing
run as admin again.

Game info online says Win 2k, XP only, no mention of Vista so you might
try looking up the game makers website and see if they have any
solutions for running in Vista.
