| | Video cards Can anyone tell me the difference between NVIDIAS two graphics card lines the 200 series (GTX280 or GTX 260) and the 9 series line (9800 GTX or GTX+)? It kind of looks like the 200 series is slower but has more video ram then the 9800 series. |

I mostly run duel monitors and play World of Warcraft. |

| | Re: Video cards You can look at how MANY video cards compare here: http://www.overclock.net/graphics-ca...rd-time-s.html From the list, from faster to slower: HD4870X2 GTX 280 9800GX2 HD4870 1 GB GTX 260-216 HD4870 GTX 260 HD3870X2 9800GTX+ HD4850 8800Ultra 9800GTX 8800GTX 8800GTS 512MB (G92 Revision) 8800GT 512MB HD3870 512MB 9600GT "david manvell" <davidmanvell@xxxxxx> wrote in message news:4DE73998-AF89-4544-A8DD-3D7A3545FA39@xxxxxx Quote: > Can anyone tell me the difference between NVIDIAS two graphics card lines > the > 200 series (GTX280 or GTX 260) and the 9 series line (9800 GTX or GTX+)? > > It kind of looks like the 200 series is slower but has more video ram then > the 9800 series. > |

I have a 8800GT, love it. To answer your original question. The difference between the 9x00 series and the 2x0 series, is the 2x0 series is faster, and more expensive. Instead of calling their video cards 10900's or 10840's or something, nVidia dropped the 10 off their new cards, so now it's just 260 or 280 instead of 10260 or 10280 Good luck... -- -A. |
