Here is the link for the original: Cannot Install DirectX I am getting this same error while trying to install DirectX for Call of Duty World at War. The only problem is that I lack some of the expertise that some of these users have and did not understand their fix. Cannot Install DirectX Hello, I'm running Vista 32bit Home Premium on a new PC. I can't install DirectX, depite the file coming from the microsoft website and going through the whole GenuineCheck validation process successfully. Trying to run DirectX I get this messageInstalling Components part: 'A cabinet file necessary for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the Cryptographic Services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid.' Here is their quote on fixing the issue. Deleted all the entries in System32 or SysWow64\DirectX\WebSetup ...
