| | RE: EVERQUEST 1 I have tryed EQ1 (everquest) in vista on a various platforms. Gerneral issues have been EQ complaining about missing DX9.0c. However, its not really looking for DX9c itself but checking for a file (it mentions that file when it cant find it). If you simply grab that file from a XP install and place it in the EQ folder it will launch fine. the other issue it has is lack of sound. My searches thru sonys boards and the net in general show most people are having this problem with some people having hte exception of in game audio triggers working (basicly .wav play backs). My first guess is EQ is using some older DX feature for its audio that was still supported in DX9. |
