Vista - Doom 3 patch not applying

Installed Doom 3 from CD on an RC2 machine. Downloaded the Doom 1.3 patch and
it will not apply. No error message... nothing happens.

Try running the file as administrator, that did the trick for me

Interesting...

My user account is an administrator account but not THE administrator
account. Heck, I'm not even sure what the administrator account password is
becuase I was never prompted during set up.

I assume you were doing a runas /user:administrator d3_1_3.exe ?

Ahh nevermind. I see the Run As Administrator in the shell option.
