Vista - Problems With Punkbuster

I cant play online games with punkbuster on it. For instance, when I play the
Battlefield 2142 Online Demo, I cant join servers with punkbuster on it but I
can join servers without punkbuster. The same with Wolfenstein Enemy
Territory. Is there anyway to fix punkbuster?

Well, I can join a server with punkbuster on it, but it says I was kicked by
punkbuster a few seconds after I join

It will not work until Vista has been RTM. I have the same problem when
trying to play America's Army, it tells me I have an OS violation. I
contacted punkbuster and they said when Vista was finalized then it would be
supported.

Punkbuster itself needs to be updated to work with Windows Vista. There's
nothing in the RTM version of Windows Vista that will fix existing versions
of Punkbuster.

If I remember correctly the game needs to be run elevated.

Info from the America's Army forum:

i am running the 32 bit version of vista and have had no problems with 2.7
i know a person who installed the 64 bit version and kept getting kicked by
pb
he then installed the 32 bit version of vista and has been playing all day
with 2.7 with no problem.

Punkbuster as it stands does not support x64 nor does it work with User
Account Control without manual elevation of the entire game using it.

Right click on the shortcut and choose "Run as Administrator".

There's also an option in the shortcut somewhere to make this permanent.

i can play wolfenstein on a 64bit rtm....
it plays on most servers and on some servers i get kicked for punkbuster...

the only problem i have is with the graphic quality...i don't know if its
because of glass or because the graphic drivers are still beta but they were
much better for me wether in previous builds or in winXP.
