BF2 messes up! help!!

hi all, well i installed vista business, deleted the partitions so it showed
one, clicked on format, took like 10 secs and it was done, surprised but ok.
i installed the nvidia driver for geforce x86 as i am running a 32-bit
version of the O/S,

until then its all good, now that i installed bf2 and pacthed to 1.41 i
start it, it aoutomatically new my ingame name, password and prefix, so by
the looks of it, it picked them up from the old er version of win xp that i
had installed before, so thats telling me that it did not format properly.

anyway, i run the game and on the main screen where i can choose options and
join servers, i get really funny shapes tjhat change colour all the time,
when i click on options i see funny binnary in yellow wiriting. i havent gt a
clue whats going on. can any1 help

im running a asus a8n sli-deluxe motherboard, with amd 4200 x2 processor,
and 2 6800GS Cards in SLi.

any recomendations please let me know.

RE: BF2 messes up! help!!

I am noticing the exact same thing..

Weird thing; I installed Vista x86 on 2 machines one machine running an
Gigabyte GA-K8N51PVM9-RH, AMD 3800+ 64 single core, with an Geforce 6600GT.
BF2 runs flawlessly

My main machine running an Asus A8N-SLI Premium, AMD 4800+ X2, Geforce
7800GTX. Same installation procedure and am experiencing those crazy
artifacts like yourself.... Perhaps its something to do with the A8N series
board?

RE: BF2 messes up! help!!

maybe, although i havent installed any chipset drivers for my board because
there arent any out there! except rc1 but i dnt think i should try those,
until nvidia bring out proper ones.

my NFS Carbon wont work either, loads up and then crashes to desktop
