Flight sim X

Getting an error when I hit "fly now". Get an error message that says "Out of
range, then H, Freq 33 khz, then V. Freq 60 Hz." Then I can't play my game. I
did have a Grforce 8800 GTX installed but there are no Nvidia drivers for
Vista RC2 till end of Jan. I removed that one and installed mt ATI 850 XLT
with the latest vista 64 bit drivers. Can someone help me please? I want to
fly again.

Does it work if you make it windowed instead of fullscreen?

RE: Flight sim X

I don't know whether this is related to your problem or not. I experienced
problems running FSX when I enabled a second monitor with my Nvidia 7950GT in
Vista x64 RTM. FSX would start but "Fly Now" would result in a corrupted
display. I solved the problem by disabling the 2nd monitor when running FSX.

I believe the issue is with the Nvidia beta driver for Vista. Your ATI
driver may be having the same issues. If you have a second monitor attached
to your system, try disabling it when running FSX.

RE: Flight sim X

Thanks Gerry but I don't have a second monitor. Got any other ideas. I have
even tried going to the lowest graphics possible.

Re: Flight sim X

The Nvidia 96.85 driver does not work for the 8800 cards.

RE: Flight sim X

Thank you this was a good fix for me as well. Looking forward to Dual video
display again in the near future but this will surfice. Definetly better
quality video than previous OS in my opinion using same hardware. Thank Again
Gerry!
