Vista - Ventrilo stops accepting key press to talk once BF2 loads

As soon as I am in BF2 I can no longer use my press to talk key. By default I
have it set to mouse wheel down but I ahve tried other keys. And as soon as I
alt-tab out of BF2 I can use Vent again.

thats should fix it for you

That was the first thing I did once I had issues with punkbuster and an
Invlaid permissions error.

what bout running it in different compatability mode, i.e xp service pack 2,
still under compatability.

i dunno why it doesnt work for you, it worked fine for me.
