| | Making a game Vista Compatable I've been working with a set of games to find a way to make them compatable with vista. The way the games are set up you double click on the desktop icon which is a lnk file. This opens a file inside the main directory called olclauncher. Once open there's a set of 5 seperate icons on the launcher. Each one is blacked out unless there's a registry key entry in the hkey_localmachine-software folder. On XP and any os before when you click on one of the colored icons it starts up the game that corrispondes with it. All 5 games are located in the same directory folder in program files. If you click on the multiplayer game it opens a pre-launcher then goes to login for the online. On Vista it won't trigger the next exe. When you click on the icons the launcher closes and that's it. If you run the pre-launcher seperatly it'll open the launcher up, but will not go the other way from launcher to pre-launcher. Any suggestions or help would be greatly apprechated. |
