Re: Vista is bad for you

I also use Vista on 3 of my systems and am enjoying the added features. Here is just a few of the features that either my family members and/or I really like.
a.. Better Graphics
b.. Improved finding files
c.. Better built in security (I also use Live One Care as a added bonus)
d.. Built in Parental Controls (3rd party companies can build on top of the parental controls)
e.. Windows Meeting Space is a great feature for both training in businesses and meetings

Re: Vista is bad for you

Shall I show you the multitude of bugs and bashing for Mac, Linux,
Windows 3.11 to XP, BSD, Commodore 64, or any other OS? Or should I show
you the multitude of reasons to use Vista, with the great experiences?

RE: Vista is bad for you

Granted, it's got several issues...but it's still pretty shiny.

I'm a Linux user myself, but have become acquainted with Vista quite well at
work, and I actually really like it. I wouldn't pay for a copy [or, for that
matter, pirate one], but I might use it if I got a copy for free. Even then,
I'd have to dualboot with Ubuntu -- but that's just how it is.

Still. Shiny!

RE: Vista is bad for you

One thing you might want to know about IBM is that they own a chunk of Red
Hat stock and have for the past few years. So they have a vested interest in
using Linux.

Re: Vista is bad for you

I duel-boot Ubuntu and XP on my laptop but I'm using vista on my PC. Windows
DVD maker is an awesome program and suits my purposes perfectly. Windows
Mail is great as well as Windows Photo Gallery, Windows Calendar and I'm
really enjoying Media Centre. My games do seem a bit slower though...
