Windows Vista 32 vs 64?

WHat will work best for me? I plan on buying either 8800 or R600 whoever is
best once R600 comes out. Anyway i also plan on buying more ram down the
road and my mobo supporet up to 16 GB DDR2 so.. Would i get 16 GB DDR2
support in 32 bit version or do i have to use 64 and is there any
significant advantages/disadvantages in 64 Bit Vista Ultimate when i think
of Oblivion, Crysis, WoW Burning crusade and the likes of those?

Re: Windows Vista 32 vs 64?

A 32 bit desktop operating system is limited to 4GB of RAM. 32bit Vista
will only address 4GB of RAM.

Jane, not plain 64 bit enabled :-)
Batteries not included. Braincell on vacation ;-)

Re: Windows Vista 32 vs 64?

At the moment 2 gb of memory is heaps for any game out there even on vista.
32bit vista i would recommend. I got 8800gtx & 2 gig of mem as well and play
games like fear, farcry and trackmania united in vista.

RE: Windows Vista 32 vs 64?

I have a dual boot system between vista 32 and vista 64, and I find that my
games seem to be more responsive on the 64 bit version. Especially when it
comes to graphics rendering. currently i have an x1600 pro 512, and plan on
upgrading to an R600 as well. 4 gigs is a limitation for all 32 bit os's most
wont even register the full amount.

Windows Vista 32 vs 64?

Still, 2GB Ram now is good enough, don't get anymore or your system will
actually be slowed down by the ram latency.

P.S. The R600 will be much faster than the 8800
