CPU Usage 100% Games in Background

I have encountered a strange behaviour. If I run a game (tested with Guild
Wars & Unreal Tournament 2004) and switch back to the desktop, the game
produces 100% cpu usage (in reality 50% because i have a dualcore cpu). Even
if i am in the game, the cpu usage is not so high. I also cant reproduce
this on XP so this must be a Vista problem.

My system:

Asus A8N-E Nforce 4
2GB Ram
6600 gt

Have anyone else experienced this behaviour or has a solution or clue for
that?

RE: CPU Usage 100% Games in Background

Currently with the system, When you are playing a game, system resources are
pulled from the gui and used for which ever game you are playing. You may
notice this, if you usually are running vista aero, and when you come out of
game, the standard format is used, and you watch it actually change back to
aero. Even with your game minimized, it is still pulling the same resources,
so when you minimize it, you are compounding the resources by forcing aero to
load back up again. I am sure there are others out there that can explain
this better then I.
