EA LINK compatibility issue? (Battlefield 2142)

Has anyone had success launching BF 2142 or any other game that had been
purchased through the EA Link program?

Adam, I was just thinking have you also tried going in and delete the or
renaming the movies folder ? so that it doesn't try to play the vidoes on
start ? Maybe that is casuing you the problem.
I myself just rename the folder to Nomovies \Battlefield
2142\mods\bf2142\movies

RE: EA LINK compatibility issue? (Battlefield 2142)

its worked fine for me.

The only problem i had was punkbuster kicking me after about a minute of
play. THE FIX is to right click it and run the game AS ADMINISTRATOR...

I will give that a try.

Thanks.

BTW - EA is giving me a refund for the game since it is "incompatible"
with my system.

RE: EA LINK compatibility issue? (Battlefield 2142)

Hi Adam,

I have the EA Link version of BF2142 and the only problem I have noticed
with it is the Punkbuster problem similar to Joe. However I was able to fix
it by downloading Punkbuster updater program and running update, which
automatically updated the PB BF2142 uses. Other than that, it's working
smoothly, not much difference from XP experience.
