Vista - I installed Flight SimX and now this...

Hey guys. I just got my new pc today runnin windows vista and ive already
come across a problem . I tried installing the Flight Sim x demo (which is
meant to be a "Games for windows" game) and it told me that the programme
wasn't suited for Aero, changing the theme to Vista basic. Ive now gotten rid
of flight sim x and restored the Aero theme with the see through effects.
However, when ever i right click on an icon or if i click on anything which
brings down a menu, the colour is dull/gray as it was for Windows 2000 (no
longer pale white and blue). Ive tried everything to get it back including
system restore and changing my themes.. nothing seems to work. Any
suggestions? thanks

It may have something to do with the demo. I have not experienced this with
the deluxe version of FSX...

BTW... I always get the balloon stating that windows has to change to 256
color mode to be compatible... perfectly normal.
