Vista - Headset...

Ok i bought a new headset, everything works but i cannot figure out how to
get the mic to work. I am new to Vista, i not really sure if theres anywhere
where i can unmute the mic(like in XP) or something like that. I would
appericiate any ideas.

start-->control panel-->sound...then the second tab is "Recording", highlite
that then select "Properties" button, you will find mic boost, level, all of
that in there..make sure you have the microphone actually connected to the
proper port though... :-)
